The panic button has been pushed in Saskatchewan, and they face a similarly desperate Toronto team in CFL betting action in Week 8 on Thursday night.
It’s one of just two games on the schedule as the league hits its bye weeks.
Sportsbook gives the Argonauts a slight 2.5-point spread advantage at home for this tilt, while the OVER/UNDER is set at 54.
Toronto (1-6) fell to the rival Hamilton Tiger-Cats 37-32 last week, but managed to cover the 7-point spread on the road. The combined score sailed OVER that game’s posted total of 50.
The Roughriders (1-6) have won four of the last five head-to-head meetings, but have only covered the spread in two of the last five encounters.
Saskatchewan was defeated 45-35 in Week 7 by the Calgary Stampeders, and failed to cover the 3.5-point spread as a home underdog. The game's 80 points made Sportsbooks of OVER bettors in totals betting.
After jumping out to a 5-0 start, the Edmonton Eskimos (5-2) have lost back-to-back games. Edmonton hosts the B.C. Lions in the second game of the week in CFL betting action on Friday night.
Lucky for Edmonton, B.C. has just one win in seven games this season. The Eskimos will be 6-point home favorites at Sportsbook with the game’s total Sportsbook at 50.5.
The Lions were crushed by East-leading Winnipeg 30-17 last week with the Blue Bombers winning on the road as slight 1.5-point underdogs. The combined 47 points sent UNDER bettors to the payout window in that betting matchup.
Edmonton was pounded 27-4 last week by Montreal, who easily covered the 6.5-point spread. UNDER bettors were the beneficiary of the low-scoring affair and collected on the posted OVER/UNDER total of 54.5 set by oddsmakers.
