Will Marvel's Ant-Man perform as well as the studio's other movies when it hits theatres on July 17? At online sportsbook Sportsbook the OVER/UNDER totals for Sportsbook weekend grosses for Ant-Man and other summer movies have now been released.
At Sportsbook the OVER/UNDER for the Sportsbook weekend gross for Ant-Man has been set at $65 million, with both sides at -120 odds on the prop wager. That tally would put it on par with the Sportsbook weekend grosses for the first Thor and Captain America movies.
However, that total is well below the previous entry in the series, Avengers: Age of Ultron, which pulled in domestic grosses of over $190 million on its Sportsbook weekend back in May. Guardians of the Galaxy grossed $94 million on its Sportsbook weekend back in August 2014.
Sportsbook also has OVER/UNDER totals set for Minions ($99 million), Pixels ($55 million), Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation ($75 million), and Fantastic Four ($60 million). The previous two Fantastic Four movies had Sportsbook weekend grosses of $56 million and $58 million, back in 2005 and 2007.
