Dancing with the Stars Betting Odds

I’ll be honest, my picks to win the Mirrorball last season fell a little short.

However, I don’t think anyone can deny that the results from last season were absolutely absurd, with fan favorites (and clearly the best) Simone Biles and Heather Morris getting the boot fairly early from the competition.

Rashad Jennings took home the grand prize, and the beloved Grandpa Rossy (David Ross) walked away as the runner-up.

How? We’re not really sure. Jennings and Ross entered DWTS with odds of +1400 and +1600, respectively.

Could this be a year of repeated success for underdogs? Potentially.

Season 25 features some big names like six-time Pro Bowler Terrell Owens (+1000), professional wrestler Nikki Bella (+1200), Pretty Little Liars star Sasha Pieterse (+800), Property Brother Drew Scott (+1200), and Frankie Muniz, aka Agent Cody Banks (+900).

Leading the oddsboard is 98 degrees singer Nick Lachey (+400). Lachey may have the boy-band dance moves, but will have to live up to the expectations set by his brother Drew Lachey, who won the Mirrorball in the second season of DWTS.

Lachey will also be facing off against his wife, Vanessa Lachey, who sits in the middle of the pack with +900 odds.

Looking at the board, one underdog pick I like right off the bat is Jordan Fisher (+900). The actor/singer made his Broadway debut in Hamilton, and also performed in Grease: Live, so you know he has some moves. However, will he receive America’s vote? It’s hard to say.

Someone who will have America on their side is Sasha Pieterse, who is adored by teenage girls around the world. She may not have much of a dance background, but like we saw last season, having the public vote can make all of the difference.

It’s back, people! Dancing with the Stars Season 24 is here, and it’s one of the most stacked seasons we’ve seen in a long time.

This upcoming season features some big names, including America’s sweetheart Simone Biles, Nancy Kerrigan, David Ross, Mr. T, and Fifth Harmony’s Normani Kordei.

To no surprise, Biles opened as the favorite for this season with +400 odds, but now sits at +150 on the board. With her Olympic teammate Laurie Hernandez being awarded the Mirrorball Trophy just four months ago, can two gymnasts win back to back? I’m not totally ruling it out, but I think Heather Morris (+500) could give Biles a good run for her money.

Morris may be known best for her role as Brittany Pierce in Glee but what a lot of people may not know is that before accepting her role on Glee, Morris was a backup dancer for Beyonce. Yeah, you heard me. BEYONCE. How it’s fair that she’s on the show, I’m not entirely sure. But if she doesn’t run away with this, I’ll be shocked. I expected her to be the favorite out of the gate and if betting on DWTS is your scene, now is the time to put some money down on Morris.

As we’ve seen before, figure skaters are no joke when it comes to their dancing ability, with Meryl Davis coming out on top in season 18. With Biles and Morris in the mix, I don’t think Kerrigan (+1000) has a great shot at winning the Mirrorball Trophy, but she does have the potential to do fairly well. That’s if Tonya Harding doesn’t have something to say about it. Too far?

Apparently, four seasons of the Bachelor franchise wasn’t enough reality TV for current Bachelor Nick Viall (+1800), as he is also joining the season 24 cast. His mini stint of dancing on stage with the Backstreet Boys in this season of the Bachelor was enough of an indication for me to warn you not to waste your money on Viall.

As much as I want Ross (+1600) to be my underdog pick, I don’t think there’s much hope for Grandpa Rossy, who currently sits with the third-worst odds on the board.

Mr. T sits at the very bottom of the oddsboard with +3300. Are we surprised? Didn’t think so. I pity the fool who wastes any money on Mr. T.

Other athletes joining the season 24 cast are professional bull rider Bonner Bolton (+900) and Rashad Jennings (+1400).
