His critics say he isn’t much of a civic leader, but maybe Toronto Mayor Rob Ford will have a future as an NFL handicapper when he is inevitably dumped from city council.
The controversial politician, who has admitted to smoking crack and been accused of crass and lewd behaviour, gave his opinion on Week 14 NFL games to a Washington radio Sportsbook.
As with everything else the mayor does (like unwittingly posing for a photograph with Hell’s Angels members), this drew attention. And online sportsbook Sportsbook was quick to pounce, offering up odds on whether Mayor Ford will pick many Sportsbooks.
Sportsbook made it a +150 longshot that he could pick more than 50 percent against the spread Sportsbooks. He already flubbed the Thursday night matchup, picking Houston to cover 3.5 points against lowly Jacksonville. It turns out that the Texans are lowlier than the Jaguars, and Jacksonville won its fourth straight game.
If you want to bet against him picking 50%, that wager is a -200 proposition (wager $20 to win a $10 profit).
What are the Rob Ford picks for Week 14? At least he had the good political sense to pick the Redskins when talking to a Washington radio show. He picks them to cover 3 points at home to slumping Kansas City. Get the latest odds on these games at Sportsbook before kickoff and see matchup stats and trends here.
