The event is nearly a year away, but the sportsbooks have odds posted on what could be wrestling’s biggest night ever.

And just as the sad day that marked the passing of former champion Randy Macho Man Savage arrived for fans, it was revealed that champion John Cena is a huge favorite to beat The Rock in his return to action.

Should Cena remain champion until the April 2012 date, the fight will be for his championship belt.

Sportsbook opened Cena as a -200 favorite. The Rock, as famous for his acting gigs as Dwayne Johnson as for his wrestling career, is a +150 underdog. That means a $100 wager on The Rock would pay out $150 in profit.

The event is scheduled for April Fool’s Day 2012 at Miami’s Sun Life Stadium.

Wrestlemania XXVII was just a smashing success and Sportsbook and other online sportsbooks had odds posted on that event as well.
