WWE Fastlane Betting Odds Preview

WWE Fastlane

The last major WWE event before Wrestlemania 32 goes down this Sunday night with Fastlane from Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland. The event will feature several title matches, and a triple threat match that will determine the No. 1 contender for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship who will face Triple H in the main event at Wrestlemania.

Online sportsbook 5Dimes has released betting odds for several of the matches on the card and has tabbed Roman Reigns as a massive -585 favorite to win the triple threat main event match.

Picking a winner for Fastlane’s main event simply comes down to what you think the company’s plans are for Wrestlemania. It would appear as if WWE creative seems intent on utilizing the recycled storyline of man vs establishment, or in this case, man vs the Authority, which would set up a showdown between Reigns, the company’s top babyface, and Triple H at Wrestlemania.

Brock Lesnar, whose odds are +1000 to win the match, is arguably the company’s biggest draw and makes sense as a main-eventer for any major WWE event, especially Wrestlemania. A Lesnar vs Triple H main event at Wrestlemania seems unlikely though, as neither is actually wrestling on a full time schedule, and with a whittled down roster due to injuries, the company can’t afford to have an inactive champion.

As for Dean Ambrose, he seems more likely for heel turn than a shot to headline Wrestlemania. If you think the WWE has a surprise result in store for us though, you can bet the Lunatic Fringe at +560.

The WWE Divas Championship will also be on the line with Charlotte set to defend her title against Brie Bella. Charlotte is a -490 favorite and it would make sense for her to go into ‘Mania as the champ. Reports are also surfacing that Bella might soon follow in the footsteps of her husband Daniel Bryan and hang up her boots as the two plan to start a family. Given the retirement rumors, and the WWE’s push of the newer female talent, Charlotte appears to be a lock to retain her title.
