WWE Fastlane: Odds Say Becky Will Main Event Wrestlemania

Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch will headline WWE Fastlane on Sunday, March 10
wwe.com

The fifth annual WWE Fastlane goes Sunday night from Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, Ohio with plenty of matches that should grab the attention of wrestling fans on the leadup to WrestleMania, which is slated for April 7 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

Let’s take a look at the matches on the card:

Charlotte Flair vs Becky Lynch

Becky Lynch will meet Charlotte Flair with the stipulation that if Becky wins, she will join the Main Event at WrestleMania with Charlotte and Ronda Rousey in a triple threat match. Industry insiders have been predicting this match for months, and it seems like that’s what the fans are going to get as Becky is a -700 favorite to win on Sunday.

Charlotte Flair vs Becky Lynch
  • Charlotte Flair    +400
  • Becky Lynch       -700

The Shield vs Baron Corbin, Drew McIntyre & Bobby Lashley

WWE got an unexpected power boost to its roster with the return of Roman Reigns, who had been treating leukemia in real life. The Shield had reunited shortly before the unfortunate news of Reigns’ illness, however, the writers have combined the group once more in what could be its last run before Dean Ambrose’s contract runs out.

Ambrose gave notice to WWE that he would be leaving the company in April when his current deal runs out, and rumors indicate that he turned down a five-year deal worth more than $5 million. I honestly think this match could go either way, and Corbin, McIntyre & Lashley at +200 isn’t bad at all.

The Shield vs Baron Corbin, Drew McIntyre & Bobby Lashley
  • The Shield                            -300
  • Cobin, Mcintyre & Lashley   +200

Daniel Bryan (C) vs Kevin Owens

Now, I love me some Kevin Owens. The Canadian is by far one of the most entertaining wrestlers in the world today. Unfortunately, this doesn’t look like a good spot for Owens as Daniel Bryan is getting a very heavy push by the writing team at this point. He’s even got his own vegan championship belt. It appears that once again, Owens will be in a pay-per-view spot where he has to finish this match on his back and looking up at the lights.

Daniel Bryan vs Kevin Owens - WWE Championship
  • Daniel Bryan     -400
  • Kevin Owens    +250

The Revival vs Aleister Black & Ricochet vs Gable & Roode

This is my favorite match of the night in terms of profit potential. If you’ve been following my WWE previews, you’ll know that I’m a huge fan of matches with multiple participants to create value. These matches allow the writing team to have the favorites lose without ACTUALLY losing the match.

For example, in this triple threat match, the champions don’t have to be pinned or submitted to lose the match. The other two teams can be involved in the decision. When you combine that with the push that Aleister Black and Ricochet have been getting over the past few months, first in NXT and now on the main roster, I love taking them at +225 to win this match.

The Revival vs Black & Ricochet vs Gable & Roode
  • The Revival                                   -275
  • Aleister Black and Ricochet          +225
  • Chad Gable and Bobby Roode     +500

The Rest of the Card

Sasha Banks & Bayley vs Nia Jax & TAmina
  • Sasha Banks and Bayley     -400
  • Nia Jax and Tamina             +250
Asuka vs Mandy Rose
  • Asuka               -800
  • Mandy Rose    +425
Rey Mysterio vs Andrade
  • Rey Mysterio       +110
  • Andrade               -150
The Usos vs Shane McMahon & the Miz
  • The Usos                                         -900
  • Shane McMahon & The Miz           +500
