WWE Money in the Bank Betting Odds

wwe money in the bank competitors

With WWE Money in the Bank quickly closing in, the event still holds plenty of intrigue for fans of wrestling. Both the MitB matches have competitive fields and have plenty of participants who could end up carrying their respective briefcase. Plus, Ronda Rousey will be challenging for the WWE Raw Women’s Championship.

Let’s take a look at the odds as of Thursday and find the best value for bettors.

Men’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match Odds

The Miz finds himself as the -110 favorite to claim the Money in the Bank briefcase for the second time in his career. Putting the briefcase on The Miz could help build the long-term storyline between Daniel Bryan and himself – allowing that eventual clash to be for the WWE Championship. Plus, the briefcase simply works better when it is on the heel and there is no better heel in the WWE than The Miz.

The second-best odds belong to Braun Strowman (+400). It would be somewhat interesting to see how Strowman would be used if he were to hold the briefcase. The big man is teetering on the edge of superstardom but the WWE continues to wait to pull the trigger and put the WWE Universal title on him. Without something soon, Strowman does risk losing some of his momentum. But personally, I’d prefer a Smackdown Live wrestler win the match and then Strowman can face Brock Lesnar and beat him clean.

If I were to pick the best value bet, it would be Samoa Joe (+450). Joe is a heel and on Smackdown – where there are few top-tier heels to compete in the title picture. Joe has quietly been one of the hottest wrestlers on the roster thanks to his work on the mic – and his always excellent ring work. Joe comes across as real and not scripted when he talks, something that could make him special as a briefcase holder and eventual champion.

Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match Odds

Natalya finds herself as the favorite to claim the second-ever – I think we call it the second after the whole Carmella mess the first time around – women’s MitB. Natalya has been climbing the ranks since being attached to Ronda Rousey – Natalya played a big hand in training Rousey. And the easiest/laziest writing that the WWE could go with is having Natalya win and cash in on Rousey to win the women’s title.

Alexa Bliss finds herself holding the second-best odds (+350) to take the briefcase. I’m not exactly sure why. Aside from watching Bliss with the briefcase – which would undoubtedly be entertaining – there is not a logical reason to have her win the match. She was champion for so long that having some fresh faces in the picture would be better for that division.

My favorite dark horse is Becky Lynch (+900). To be quite frank, Lynch has never been properly utilized on the main roster. The rest of the Four Horsewomen have all had some historic moments except Lynch. She deserves to finally do something special and hold the Smackdown women’s championship. I admit that this is unlikely but I still hold out hope that Lynch will get the push she deserves someday.

Ronda Rousey vs Nia Jax Odds

The entire Rousey-Jax storyline has been downright bad. The WWE spent months building Jax into a face then immediately changed her into some ineffective pseudo-heel just to work with Rousey.

It’s only a matter of time before Rousey wins the gold, there is no doubt about this. That is a big reason why Rousey is a sizable -400 favorite. However, Rousey did force Jax to tap out on Raw and stood tall – traditionally a spot that signifies she won’t go over this Sunday. Rousey is not as bad as Lesnar but having the top men’s and women’s championship on Raw being held by part timers might cause more issues than anything.

If I were to guess, I would expect a wonky finish. Something that has Rousey technically winning via DQ, so she can continue to chase the belt for a bit – in the hopes she can become a more complete wrestler. Rousey can certainly be carried to an excellent match but I don’t know if she would have a remarkable title run right now without more experience.

But again – the obvious storyline of Rousey winning only for Natalya to cash in will be looming.
