The Minnesota Home Series Weekend may very well be the most competitive and hotly contested tournament in the short history of the Call of Duty League. Each of the top five teams in the CDL standings will be in attendance at the event.
The top odds for the Minnesota Home Series belong to the Atlanta FaZe. It should not be a surprise, as the FaZe have a ridiculous 15-2 overall record with a 48-19 map record. Aside from being the absolute powerhouse of the entire league, FaZe managed to get a good draw by avoiding another top-five opponent in their Sportsbook match of the weekend, taking on the Seattle Surge on Friday.
However, the FaZe have been drawn into the harder of the two groups. Group A consists of Atlanta, Seattle, the Minnesota ROKKR and Dallas Empire. The Empire and ROKKR sit third and fourth in the overall standings while Dallas was the last team to defeat the FaZe.
The other group is considerably less deep. The No. 1-seeded Chicago Huntsmen will face a stiff test from the Florida Mutineers but neither the Toronto Ultra nor Los Angeles Guerrillas should pose much of a problem.
Of the seven Home Series weekends to feature the tournament format this season, three teams have ultimately won two. Those three teams are Atlanta, Chicago and Dallas. There is a chance that the Minnesota Home Series ends up being the tiebreaker between these teams, as they own the top three odds to win it all this weekend.
