The second Dreamhack Open of 2020 is set to take place in Anaheim on February 21-23. After BIG shocked many and won in Leipzig, CS:GO fans entering Dreamhack Open Anaheim 2020 know that any of the eight competitors can win the event.

MiBR: Dreamhack Anaheim 2020 Favorites

Brazilian org MiBR find themselves as a +375 favorite to win the Dreamhack Open Anaheim. The squad, though ranked No. 15 in the world according to HLTV, has found themselves as a gatekeeper of CS:GO. MiBR has struggled to beat the upper-echelon teams but talent alone is typically enough to lift them past many opponents.

MiBR’s most recent appearance came during the BLAST Premier Spring Series, when they went 0-2 with a -14 map differential. However, they fought valiantly against Liquid, taking them to overtime on Vertigo, and took a map from Ninjas in Pyjamas. Of the five players to take to the server during BLAST, only one managed to have a positive K/D differential, as Gabriel “FalleN” Toledo was +1.

In theory, MiBR should have the pure talent to be better than several of the teams that will be in attendance in Anaheim. However, the stack still seems to be struggling to find their footing since incorporating Ignacio “meyern” Meyer into the lineup.

ForZe Has Been a Force

Arguably the hottest team entering Dreamhack Anaheim is forZe. The Russian team has won five of their last six tournaments they competed in, including Dreamhack Open Winter 2019. Was the competition the highest caliber? No. But forZe is still winning. Even in their worst outing, EPICENTER 2019, forZe took games off of Evil Geniuses and Virtus.Pro.

Though several members of the team have been playing at a high level, Bogdan “xsepower” Chernikov has been on another level. The AWP-er has posted a combined K/D differential of +231 across the past six events and has posted a rating of 1.16 or higher in each.

It seems like it is only a matter of time before forZe can finally claim a top-10 spot in the world, and a win at Dreamhack Open Anaheim could push them ever closer to that.
