ENCE, Furia Top Odds To Win CS:GO Champions Cup

ENCE will enter the CSGO Champions Cup as slight favorites
ENCE

Eight teams will meet at the International Conference Centre Arena in Malta from December 19-22 at the CS:GO Champions Cup Finals. The winners of the event, which will feature two days of group stages followed by a single-elimination playoff bracket, will walk away with $150,000.

ENCE will enter the event as a slight +240 favorite. The Finnish team has been trying to get their feet under them after a red-hot start to 2019. ENCE has only placed in the top three in two of their past eight events, although those events were stacked with some of the best teams on the planet. And though there will be some legit competition at the Champions Cup, there will be nobody on the level of Astralis or Team Liquid to keep ENCE down.

The second-best odds at +300 belong to Furia, another direct invite to the event like ENCE. Much like ENCE, Furia has hit a bit of a wall of late, failing to make much of an impact in their past several events. The Brazilian team is still in the upper echelon of CS:GO on the planet but they need to prove they are more than gatekeepers to the truly elite level of play.

One major difference between the two squads heading into the Champions Cup Finals is their schedule. ENCE has not competed in a tournament since the CS:GO Asia Championship, which ended on November 24. On the other hand, Furia will be competing at cs_summit 5, along with G2, who is also competing in the Champions Cup. With burnout being a very obvious issue for many teams in CS:GO recently, keeping an eye on how Furia performs at the summit could be important to see how they could play in Malta.

If we are talking about a brutal schedule, though, no team at the Champions Cup Finals will be spending more time on the server than Big (+700). The top-ranked, non-invited team heading to Malta will be competing in the WESG 2019 Central Europe & Iberia bracket and Dreamhack Open Sevilla heading into the Champions Cup. Though the team might be an interesting underdog to some, Big might be best left alone considering the amount of CS:GO they are going to be playing in a short span of time.
