Two races down, two checkered flags for Mercedes’ Nico Rosberg. The German followed up his win in Australia with a great showing in the Bahrain Grand Prix to give himself a 17-point edge over teammate Lewis Hamilton in the drivers’ standings entering the third race of the Formula 1 calendar.
The Chinese Grand Prix, however, has been dominated by Hamilton. The Brit has won back-to-back races there and has taken three in total since 2011. Rosberg’s last win at the Shanghai International Circuit came in 2012.
Online shop Sportsbook is currently offering Hamilton as the favorite at EVEN odds while Rosberg comes in next at +138.
Coming in next on the odds board is Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel at +550. The German is coming off the first DNS of his Formula 1 career after having to retire due to engine failure in the formation lap in Bahrain.
A driver to keep an eye, once again, will be Hass’ Romain Grosjean. The Frenchman, who is presently +10000, followed up a strong sixth-placed showing in Australia with a fifth-placed result in Bahrain last time behind the wheel providing a great start for the new F1 team.
