2016 Spanish Grand Prix Odds

Nico Rosberg Mercedes Formula 1 Spanish Grand Prix

We are just four races into the 2016 Formula 1 season and one major storyline has dominated the headlines: Nico Rosberg.

Mercedes’ German driver has won all four races and in the process has opened a massive 43-point lead in the drivers’ standings over teammate Lewis Hamilton. He’s already recorded the third-most wins he’s had in any season at the F1 level and will shatter his career high of six (2015) with relative ease.

The probability that he makes it five wins in five races is high and he comes in at +200 to win the race at online shop Bovada. Rosberg won at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya last year and finished second there one year ago so he’s got some fond memories at the track.

Hamilton, who won the pole, comes in as the favorite at -200.

One other story that has made its way to the headlines since the Russian Grand Prix at the beginning of the month takes place within the Red Bull camp. Daniil Kvyat has been relegated to the Toro Rosso team while 18-year-old Max Verstappen will take his place alongside Daniel Ricciardo on the Red Bull team.

Team Principal Christian Horner said, “Dany will be able to continue his development at Toro Rosso, in a team that he is familiar with, giving him the chance to regain his form and show his potential.”

One driver to keep an eye on is Ferrari’s Kimi Räikkönen, who has finished second, fifth and third in the past three races and also has a strong history in Spain. The Finn has come in third, second, seventh and fifth in the past four races in Barcelona.
