Hamilton Leads Formula 1 Champ Odds

Lewis Hamilton has increased his lead on Mercedes teammate Nico Rosberg in both the F1 points standings and the odds to win the 2015 drivers championship with the circuit returning to action in the Italian Grand Prix on September 6.

Hamilton holds a 227-199 lead on Rosberg in the driver standings with eight races left in the season, and he's now the -800 favorite at online sportsbook Sportsbook to claim the drivers championship in 2015.

Rosberg is then at +600 on those betting lines, after being a shorter underdog at +450 on the F1 futures just two weeks ago - Hamilton was a -500 favorite back then. Sebastian Vettel, a distant third in the standings at 160 points, is a +3300 longshot to win the title.

Odds for the Italian Grand Prix are on the board at Sportsbook as well, with Hamilton the -300 favorite to win the race over Vettel (+600), Rosberg (+700), and Raikkonen (+800). Hamilton won the pole for the race, with Raikkonen and Vettel starting second and third.

Hamilton won the Italian Grand Prix last season, with Rosberg second, and Massa rounding out the podium on the day in third place. Bottas was fourth at last year's Italian Grand Prix, with Daniel Ricciardo fifth, and Vettel settling for a sixth-place result.
