The final PGA Tour event of the season takes place this week at the 2023 Tour Championship at East Lake Golf Club.
Serving as the postseason finale yet again, the Tour Championship will welcome the top 30 players in the FedEx Cup as they duke it out for the season-long prize and $18 million in first-place prize money.
World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler has usurped Jon Rahm entering the final four rounds and will begin the Tour Championship at 10-under. The Texan was in this position last season before squandering a five-stroke lead on Sunday to eventual champion, Rory McIlroy.
The two are listed at the top of the betting odds with Scheffler priced at +150 to take home the crown and McIlroy at +350 to claim his fourth FedEx Cup and second consecutive.
Meanwhile, BMW Championship winner Viktor Hovland is at +500 as he begins the week at 8-under and as Scheffler’s closest pursuer with Jon Rahm a couple back at 6-under and priced at +800 to win his first career FedEx Cup.
Lucas Glover is the lone man to begin at 5-under before Max Homa, Patrick Cantlay, Brian Harman, Wyndham Clark and Matt Fitzpatrick start from 4-under.

Scottie Scheffler To Win (+150)
The world No. 1 has been the best player in the world the entire season and that will continue into this week.
Fresh off a runner-up performance at the BMW Championship where he ranked first in strokes gained tee-to-green and found some form with the putter, Scheffler should be rolling into East Lake with all the confidence in the world.
He opened this championship up with three straight rounds in the mid 60s before faltering on Sunday, but he should have learned from this experience and will be better for it.
Over the last six months, he ranks first in total strokes gained, first in strokes gained tee-to-green, first in strokes gained off the tee, first in strokes gained approach and first in strokes gained around the green. He starts with a two-stroke lead, and if the putter cooperates, this tournament could be over by Thursday evening.
Patrick Cantlay To Win (+2000)
The 2021 FedEx Cup champion has had a quiet year for his standards, but he arrives at East Lake with a chance as he begins the week at 4-under.
Cantlay was a fixture in the FedEx Cup top five for most of the season and nearly made a massive leap in the postseason opener where he lost to Lucas Glover in a playoff.
Last season, he made a run at Scheffler ranking first in strokes gained tee-to-green but was unable to hole enough putts throughout his four rounds to apply enough pressure.
This time around may be different as Cantlay ranks third in total strokes gained, third in strokes gained tee-to-green and third in strokes gained off the tee over the last six months with a drastic improvement in terms of distance and accuracy with the big stick.
Tommy Fleetwood To Win (+6000)
The Englishman is among the players to begin the week at 3-under which is probably as far back as one can go to identify a Tour Championship winner. Players like Rickie Fowler and Xander Schauffele reside at this number, but Fleetwood’s firepower could prove to be a difference maker across 72 holes in the chasing pack.
Fleetwood is a player who ranks inside the top 10 in nearly every strokes gained category over the last six months and has contended more times than not with close calls at the St. Jude Championship, The Open, the Scottish Open, the U.S. Open and the Canadian Open.
He possesses a nice blend of distance and accuracy off the tee and will be able to salvage par if his iron play were to be wayward. While he has yet to win on the PGA Tour, Fleetwood continues to put himself in the position to raise a trophy, and the unorthodox start of the Tour Championship may be what he needs to get the monkey off his back.
Russell Henley To Win (+8000)
The most mis-priced player on the betting board is Henley as he begins the week seven strokes off the pace of Scheffler.
The Georgia Bulldog is more than comfortable in this part of the country and should thrive on yet another par 70 golf course designed by Donald Ross.
Drawing parallels to Sedgefield Country Club, East Lake will emphasize accurate driving and pinpoint iron play, two areas of the game Henley thrives in. Henley comes in having played well at the St. Jude Championship and the Wyndham Championship in his last two starts on Bermuda grass and has the birdie-making ability to make up ground fast.
Over the last six months, he ranks sixth in total strokes gained, sixth in strokes gained tee-to-green, eighth in strokes gained approach and second in strokes gained around the green. He is the most accurate driver of the golf ball in this field and will allow him to attack pins and set up opportunities to track down Scheffler at the top.
