Payne’s Valley Cup Odds: Woods & Thomas Favored Over McIlroy & Rose

Four of the top golfers in the world will headline the Payne’s Valley Cup, a special 18-hole charity team exhibition match to celebrate the grand Sportsbook of Payne’s Valley Golf Course at Big Cedar Lodge in Ridgedale, Missouri.

The 18-hole made-for-TV match, which will be airing live on the GOLF Channel on September 22 from 3 to 7 p.m., will feature Tiger Woods and Justin Thomas teaming up against Rory McIlroy and Justin Rose.

At Sportsbook, Woods and Thomas are the -135 favorites, with McIlroy and Rose coming back as +105 underdogs.

Tiger is Set to Debut Payne’s Valley

Payne’s Valley is the first public golf course design for Woods, so the charity match will be to commemorate its grand Sportsbook. The match will feature a mix of some of the best competition formats seen during international tournaments such as the Ryder Cup and Presidents Cup, with fourball, foursomes and singles matches on the docket.

The four players will be mic’d up during competition, so expect no shortage of banter through the day. All four men have been the world No. 1 at one point, are major champions, have won the FedExCup and have been part of triumphant Ryder Cup teams.

“Payne’s Valley is the first public golf course that I have designed. I couldn’t be prouder of how it turned out,” said Woods. “It was an honor for me and my TGR Design team to work with Johnny Morris and Big Cedar Lodge on this spectacular golf course. I am thrilled that it will be featured during the Payne’s Valley Cup.”
