Tiger Woods Betting: British Open

Tiger Woods hasn’t won a major in five years and is just getting over a bum elbow, but he’s still the betting favorite to win this week’s British Open at Muirfield.
Woods was sitting at 8/1 at Sportsbook on Wednesday, with Phil Mickelson at 16/1, and U.S. Open champ Justin Rose at 18/1.
The Open Championship was last played at Muirfield in 2002. Woods entered the weekend in contention, two shots back at 4-under. However, he stumbled over the weekend, losing his composure during cold and wet conditions en route to a third-round 81. Ernie Els went on to win the Claret Jug in a playoff.
Els, the defending champion, is at 28/1. Els won at 2002 at Muirfield with a score of 6-under, 278.
Woods has won four times on the PGA Tour this season and says his strained elbow is completely healed. He injured the elbow at the U.S. Open and has not played competitvely since. He is considering not using his driver this week on the quick and hard course conditions at Muirfield.
