Guys & Bets (Episode 13): Week 8 NFL, World Series Game 1, Aaron Kessler and More

No Jonny OddsShark for Episode 13 as he takes some well-deserved vacation time so Joe Osborne sits in to talk a busy week of sports betting.

Before the capping and picks, Andrew Avery breaks down a pair of Handicapping Heroes from a weekend with plenty of candidates but NFL provided two of the biggest heroes of the week and once again, kicking…

The World Series begins Tuesday night and the pitching matchup, on paper at least, is a beauty as Clayton Kershaw and the Los Angeles Dodgers face Chris Sale and the favored Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park for the opener of the 2018 Fall Classic.

As for the world of football, it’s Tuesday so NFL prime-time games are front and center and while a couple of them don’t provide the most spectacular of matchups, there is some good betting to be had. Ninja and Joe start with the Thursday nighter as the Miami Dolphins visit the Houston Texans, who just have not been very good in prime-time spots. Next, the Sunday nighter over in the NFC as the New Orleans Saints travel to Minnesota to take on the Vikings. Finally, the Monday nighter sees the Buffalo Bills host the New England Patriots as massive home underdogs.

The guys sit down to chat with Aaron Kessler about the weekend that was for sportsbooks in Vegas. Plus, the guys ask Aaron about who will be left standing in the College Football Playoff, how the public has been betting the Kansas City Chiefs and who exactly the Jacksonville Jaguars are.

Finally, Kris Abbott has his NHL Quick Picks for the night and Joe and Andrew trade NBA picks from a fairly light schedule.
