Guys & Bets (Episode 224): Three NBA Picks, Plus College Basketball, Premier League and Bahamas Bowl Picks

Today on Guys & Bets, Joe Osborne and Andrew Avery are all over the sports map to bring you their bets for the NBA, college basketball, the Premier League and the Bahamas Bowl.

Let’s start in the NBA where Joe leads off with a pick in the marquee matchup on the NBA slate. In what could prove to be an NBA Finals preview, the Los Angeles Lakers are in Milwaukee to face the Bucks. Ironically, both teams are coming off a loss, and they have identical 24-4 records. This game basically sells itself, but Joe will let you know what side he is on.

The Brooklyn Nets, winners of back-to-back games, are on the road in San Antonio to take on the Spurs. Joe and Ninja both have a bet on this game. Joe likes a side here while Ninja is on a player prop for one of the premier shooters in the NBA. Once their staple, now the Spurs’ lackluster defense is their Achilles heel. The guys factor this into both their plays.

We’re into bowl season and Ninja gets it started in the Makers Wanted Bahamas Bowl as the Buffalo Bulls face the Charlotte 49ers. Both teams enter this game with flashy offensive numbers and averaging just over 31 points per game. Jaret Patterson leads the attack for the Bulls as he has amassed over 1,600 yards on the ground and 17 touchdowns. The bet on this one is on the spread.

Ninja likes a pick in an important EPL match this weekend as Everton and Arsenal match up. Everton is hovering around the bottom of the standings and could really use some points from this one but Ninja’s play is on a goal total.

Joe’s final pick is must-watch TV – Northern Illinois at Chicago State University in college hoops. His watch party is growing by the minute. RSVP only. The Chicago State Cougars are led by Xavier Johnson, a junior guard out of Dallas, Texas, who is averaging 18 points per game for the team. For Northern Illinois, senior guard Eugene German is the man! He’s the only Husky averaging double digits in points as he sits with 20.5 on a per game basis. Joe likes a side on the total for this one.

As always, the show wraps up with a Q&A session for our viewers, so if there’s anything you’ve always wanted to ask, you should be joining us live every weekday at noon ET on our YouTube channel!
