Guys & Bets (Episode 231): LendingTree Bowl, Three NBA, College Basketball and Serie A Picks

Joe Osborne and Andrew Avery are back to get you set for Monday’s betting slate across college football, college basketball, the NBA and Serie A soccer.

We start the show with a player prop bet from Joe. This one is for the Utah Jazz at the New Orleans Pelicans. It looks like Utah has figured things out after a somewhat slow start. The Jazz have won nine of their last 10 and sit fifth in the Western Conference. Third-year guard Donovan Mitchell has led the way and looks to be regaining that form that we saw early in his career.

Ninja gets his picks started in the NBA as the Indiana Pacers take on the Charlotte Hornets. Charlotte is in the mix for a playoff spot as we near the midway point of the season, sitting two games back of the Magic. Devonte’ Graham has been a bright spot for Charlotte thus far, averaging 19 points per game. His backcourt mate, Terry Rozier, has been hot the last couple of games, dropping 29 and 30 points respectively. The Pacers are no slouches, though. They can certainly grind a team down in any game. Ninja has a pick on the spread for this game.

Joe’s second pick in the Association sees the Brooklyn Nets in Orlando to take on the Magic. Orlando has been hit with the injury bug as Jonathan Isaac went down last week with a left knee sprain and bone contusion. Aaron Gordon had to miss two games as well but has since returned. The Nets are one of the scrappier teams in the league and bring a hard-nosed work ethic each and every game. Joe is in on a total for this game.

Next up is one of the two remaining college football games of the season, the LendingTree Bowl between Louisiana and Miami (Ohio). Ninja has crunched the numbers for the Ragin’ Cajuns and RedHawks and has a play on the spread for this one. Louisiana’s offense features a ground game averaging 265 yards per game and an aerial attack averaging 236. Miami (OH) is led by freshman quarterback Brett Gabbert, younger brother of NFL quarterback Blaine Gabbert. The RedHawks are MAC champs and boast an 8-5 record.

The lone NCAA basketball pick in the show features the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers and UL Monroe Warhawks. The Warhawks come into the matchup with a 6-7 record and rely on junior guard Michael Ertel. Meanwhile, the Chanticleers bring a 9-6 record to the match and are led by sophomore guard DeVante Jones. After dissecting some numbers for this game, Joe likes a bet on the total as pace of play figures to be a key number for this one.

Ninja wraps up his picks in Serie A with Napoli squaring off against Inter. Inter is coming off a four-goal performance against Genoa and looks to keep pace with Juventus at the top of the Serie A standings. Napoli enters the match in a real logjam in the middle of the group. Inter is getting a couple of key pieces back which could provide an offensive boost.

As always, the show wraps up with a Q&A session for our viewers, so if there’s anything you’ve always wanted to ask, you should be joining us live every weekday at noon ET on our YouTube channel!
