Guys & Bets (Episode 238): Three NBA Picks, Two NHL Picks and One Soccer Pick

Joe and Ninja get you set for a full slate of sports betting with picks from the NBA, NHL and soccer, including the Orlando Magic facing the L.A. Clippers after a big win against the Lakers last night.

Joe gets the show going in the NBA, with a player prop wager as the Denver Nuggets take on the Golden State Warriors. One of the forgotten signings in the Association this summer was D’Angelo Russell to the Warriors. Now, these aren’t even close to the Warriors we’ve been accustomed to the last few seasons, but Russell has put together a solid season, leading Golden State in scoring.

Joe moves to the ice, where he’s been hitting his picks lately. This time he’s got a wager as the New York Islanders host the New York Rangers. The Rangers have shown that they can put pucks in the net but also have trouble preventing their opponents from doing the same. The stingy Islanders have seen a combined 30 goals scored in their last four games and Joe has a wager on the total.

For Joe’s third and final pick, he’s got another NHL total and it’s for a rather important game in the Pacific Division as the Arizona Coyotes are in Vancouver to take on the Canucks. After a seven-game win streak came to an end last week, the Canucks return home after a five-game road swing that saw them go 2-3. The Coyotes are one of the biggest surprises in the NHL this season as they sit atop the Pacific with 57 points.

Ninja gets his picks tipped off with an emerging Guys & Bets darling, as the Utah Jazz are in The Big Easy to take on the New Orleans Pelicans. The Jazz have won 10 in a row and 15 of their last 16, while the Pelicans are counting the days until Zion Williamson returns. Ninja likes a play on the spread in this matchup.

Staying in the Association, Ninja has looked through the data and come up with a player prop bet. After a shocking victory over the Los Angeles Lakers last night, the Orlando Magic stay in L.A. to take on the Clippers and Ninja found a professional scorer to place his money on tonight.

Finally, Ninja finishes off his picks with a pick from the pitch. He’s found a good spot for a game on Friday and wanted to get on it now. Matchday 18 in the Bundesliga kicks off with Schalke hosting Borussia Monchengladbach in a clash of top-five teams and Ninja has a play on the total.
