Guys & Bets (Episode 247): Four NBA Picks, Plus College Basketball and Premier League Picks

It was a clean sweep for Joe Osborne and the Tuesday episode and he and Ninja are back for a Wednesday show with four picks in the NBA and a little college basketball and Premier League betting action.

The Memphis Grizzlies are in the Big Apple to take on the New York Knicks on Wednesday night and if you’re a show vet, you know the guys love the “Greasy Grizzlies.” The Grizz have won three in a row including a 104-96 victory over the Denver Nuggets last night. They have been getting contributions from everyone, but Ja Morant is that dude. He’s the leading candidate for Rookie of the Year thus far and he and the Grizzlies will look to keep rolling tonight. Joe has a wager on the spread in this one while Ninja takes a look at a team total.

The Utah Jazz are playing a game after a loss and it’s not something they’ve been accustomed to lately. Tonight they’ll look to bounce back on the road as they meet up with the San Antonio Spurs. The Spurs look to be in a dogfight for a playoff spot the rest of the season and if they intend on making the playoffs, their defense will need to tighten up. Joe sees a nice spot to bet on a Jazz total here.

Joe gets back on college basketball for his final pick. It’s a “watch party special” as the South Florida Bulls take on the Tulane Green Wave. The Bulls come into this one having dropped their last five games. The Green Wave are led by junior guard Teshaun Hightower, who is averaging 16.1 points per game while shooting 42.5 percent from the field. Joe has a spot on the total for this game.

After his own pick on the Grizzlies game, Ninja looks at a spot with the Oklahoma City Thunder in Sacramento to take on the Kings. Chris Paul will return to action for OKC after sitting out the Thunder’s recent game against Dallas following the tragic death of Kobe Bryant. Paul will look to once again lead OKC back into the win column. Ninja’s play here is regarding the spread.

Ninja finishes his picks in the Premier League as West Ham hosts Liverpool, who sit comfortably on top of the EPL table. Through 23 games, Liverpool have only one blemish, a draw against Manchester United. But for his bet, Ninja is looking at an anytime goal scorer.

As always, the show wraps up with a Q&A session for our viewers, so if there’s anything you’ve always wanted to ask, you should be joining us live every weekday at noon ET on our YouTube channel!
