Guys & Bets (Episode 248): Four NBA Picks, Plus College Basketball and Bundesliga Picks

Coming off a 6-0 day, Joe Osborne and Andrew Avery are back at it looking for more winners. It’s a light Thursday docket, but the guys break down four NBA picks, including a couple of picks from the Hawks hosting the 76ers.

We’ll start right there with the Philadelphia 76ers facing the Atlanta Hawks for the first couple of picks. While the 76ers have had a lot of hype around them, they’ve fallen to sixth in the Eastern Conference. They’re 6-1 in their last seven games but haven’t been setting the hoops world on fire. Joe has a bet on a team total for this game while Ninja is looking at a play on the first quarter.

Staying in the Association, the hampered Golden State Warriors are in Beantown to take on the Boston Celtics. Both teams can be slow out of the gate, and the Warriors are fairly limited offensively without Steph Curry and Klay Thompson. Kemba Walker has had an all-star season and has been the steadying rock for the Celtics up to this point and Joe breaks down his case for a play on the first-quarter total.

Looking for an under-the-radar college basketball pick? Joe’s got you covered as he breaks down Kennesaw State at Liberty. There are some really good numbers to support a bet on the total for this game – Joe will let you know which way to go.

Elsewhere for Ninja, he does love his player props and has a wager on one as the Toronto Raptors take on the Cleveland Cavaliers. Pascal Siakam has been everything for the Raptors this season. He’s elevated his game to an all-star level and looks to shoot the lights out in Cleveland tonight. The wager here is on his points total.

In a look-ahead spot, Ninja likes a play as Hertha Berlin takes on Schalke on Friday. Both teams have a slower pace of play, and Hertha Berlin has only scored two goals in its last four home fixtures in Bundesliga matches. Schalke 04 can play a possession-style game to really limit their opponent’s opportunities. These teams aren’t expected to push the pace and force the other to open up and make mistakes, so Ninja looks at the total here.

As always, the show wraps up with a Q&A session for our viewers, so if there’s anything you’ve always wanted to ask, you should be joining us live every weekday at noon ET on our YouTube channel!
