Guys & Bets (Episode 251): Five NBA Picks and the Copa del Rey Semifinal

There’s a full slate of games in the NBA and Joe Osborne and Andrew Avery get you prepped to win some money this evening. The guys have five NBA plays and Ninja has a wager in Copa del Rey action.

Joe Osborne gets the show started on the hardcourt. The Washington Wizards are in the Big Apple to face the New York Knicks. The Knicks are small favorites in this game with the Wizards coming in off a home win against the Chicago Bulls. The Wizards have used a cast of characters this season as they’ve been bitten by the injury bug but the one constant has been Bradley Beal. Beal sits fifth in the NBA this season with 29.1 points per game.

Next up for Joe is the Detroit Pistons and Orlando Magic. Orlando is a home favorite as the Pistons traded away their best player in Andre Drummond last week at the NBA trade deadline. The Pistons have dropped three straight but have hung around in each of them. The Magic come into this game having lost 10 of their last 12 games. The play here is on the spread.

If you’ve followed along, Joe has always kept a close eye on first-quarter betting for the NBA. That’s where he’s going for his final pick as Milwaukee takes on Indiana. The Bucks have been on an incredible run this season and sit atop the NBA standings with a remarkable 46-7 record. Khris Middleton might be the best player in the NBA that nobody talks about as he leads the way when Giannis Antetokounmpo is inactive.

Next on the docket, the Guys & Bets darlings, the Memphis Grizzlies. Portland is in Grind City as the race for eighth in the Western Conference heats up. The Grizzlies sit three games ahead of the Trail Blazers for the final playoff spot. Ninja has some very interesting numbers you’ll want to hear before wagering on this game.

With Joe on a different take in the Bucks vs Pacers, Ninja has a play on the full-game spread. It was supposed to be all roses when Victor Oladipo returned to the Pacers, but that hasn’t been the case. The Pacers are 1-5 since his return, and it doesn’t get any easier with the Bucks in town tonight. Giannis will be out of action, but is that enough for Ninja to take the home dog?

Ninja wraps up his choices with a footy pick. In the first of the Copa del Rey semifinals, Athletic Bilbao faces Granada. Athletic comes into this match having won the last three against Granada dating back to 2016. Athletic has been very stingy, allowing the third-fewest goals (19) in La Liga thus far. Home field plays a part in Ninja’s reasoning for his pick in this match.

As always, the show wraps up with a Q&A session for our viewers, so if there’s anything you’ve always wanted to ask, you should be joining us live every weekday at noon ET on our YouTube channel!
