Guys & Bets (Episode 26): NFL Week 15, CFB Bowl Rapid Fire, Aaron Kessler and NHL Quick Picks

With just two weeks until Christmas, it means that college football bowl season and Week 15 of the NFL are upon us and Jonny OddsShark and Andrew Avery are here to break down what you need to know for the week ahead.

First, the guys talk about some topics from around the sports betting world including Sunday’s Miami Miracle, NFL teams whose stock is rising and plummeting, NFL head coach of the year odds, CFB national championship bets and Edmonton Oilers red-hot at the betting window under Ken Hitchcock.

For the NFL games, the Week 15 prime-time slate has offered up some pretty good matchups. The Thursday nighter pits the Los Angeles Chargers at the Kansas City Chiefs in an AFC West matchup. Sunday night offers up the Philadelphia Eagles at the Los Angeles Rams with the Rams as sizable faves despite not being a very reliable wager this season. Finally, the Monday nighter sees the New Orleans Saints at the Carolina Panthers and despite their season going off the rails, the Panthers are still in the playoff mix but must end their losing skid.

The college football bowl season gears up on Saturday with five games on the board. Jonny and Andrew rapid-fire through the schedule which features Tulane against Louisiana, Texas against Utah State, Fresno State vs Arizona State, Georgia Southern against Eastern Michigan and Middle Tennessee against Appalachian State. Jonny’s got picks for all five of these matchups.

As with every Tuesday show, Aaron Kessler, sportsbook director at the Golden Nugget in Las Vegas, stops by to chat more football, both NFL and college, and talks about mistakes bettors make during bowl season and offers his opinions on this week’s MLB Hall of Fame announcement.

Finally, Kris Abbott, having a very profitable NHL betting season, is here to cap tonight’s 10-game board and present three picks in today’s NHL Quick Picks segment.
