Joe Osborne, Andrew Avery and Pamela Maldonado go live on Guys & Bets to break down their favorite bets for Thursday Night Football, college football, the Premier League and more!
We start the show off with Thursday Night Football as the Green Bay Packers travel to the West Coast to face the San Francisco 49ers. Joe is looking at the 49ers team total for his bet. The Niners have lost a lot of players due to injuries, but they still have their main piece in head coach Kyle Shanahan, and the Packers don’t exactly have a defense that frightens anyone. We saw what Dalvin Cook did to them last week, and the run game is San Fran’s bread and butter.
Joe is making his next pick in the main event for UFC Fight Night on Saturday. Glover Teixeira faces Thiago Santos in a light heavyweight bout and the Sportsbook could be in line for a title shot. Teixeira is the No. 3-ranked contender and Santos is No. 1. Teixeira is on a three-fight win streak, while Santos hasn’t fought since July 2019 when he lost a five-round decision to Jon Jones.
One of the big games this weekend in the English Premier League is Everton taking on Manchester United. Everton has been a bright spot in the campaign, sitting in fourth with 13 points. Dominic Calvert-Lewin has carried the load offensively for Everton with eight goals through seven games. United has dropped its last two matches but is it time for a rebound?
Ninja is looking at another game in the Premier League with West Ham facing Fulham. The Hammers have won the last three games in this series, while Fulham has only one win and one draw against five losses to start the campaign. Fulham has allowed the third-most goals in the Premier League this season. They are coming off a win, but is it enough to gain a little momentum?
The 5-0 and sixth-ranked Cincinnati Bearcats host the 2-2 Houston Cougars on Saturday and that is where Pam is going for her first pick on the show. The Cincinnati run game has been excellent, led by senior running back Gerrid Doaks. They’re averaging 217.8 yards per game and that is good for 15th in the NCAA, but is it enough for Pam to back the Bearcats?
Next up for Pam, she’s heading to the ACC as the Pitt Panthers visit Florida State. Both of these teams are struggling to get it going this season as Pitt sits at 3-4 and FSU is 2-4. Instead of a side, Pam is betting on the total which sits at 50.5. The Seminoles rely a lot on the run game with four guys averaging over five yards per carry. The Pitt defense will make it challenging for Florida State through the air, so the clock could be on the side of UNDER bettors.
