Thursday Night Football kicks off the NFL slate for Week 15 and we’ve got a couple of bets for that and more on the show!
Joe kicks the show off with his best bet for Thursday Night Football featuring the Los Angeles Chargers at the Las Vegas Raiders. This AFC West matchup looks to be an explosive one. Justin Herbert is averaging 288 yards per game through the air and his main target, Keenan Allen, looks to be the beneficiary this evening. For the Raiders, they’re looking to keep their playoff hopes alive and need a win to do that. These two teams have already played this season, with the Raiders winning 31-26. Joe’s bet for this game is on the total.
UFC Fight Night from the UFC Apex facility in Las Vegas is headlined by Stephen Thompson against Geoff Neal, and Joe has a wager for this welterweight fight. Neal comes into the fight with an average fight time of 6:40, with only 23 percent of his fights going the distance. The 29-year-old is undefeated in the UFC (5-0), but “Wonder Boy” is no slouch and will be his toughest opponent to date. Joe has been hitting his Main Event bets in the UFC at a high clip, so you’ll want to hear his bet for this fight.
Iain has a bet for the football game tonight and he’s looking at the spread. The Chargers find themselves as 3-point underdogs on the road in what should be an entertaining game. Keenan Allen seems due for a big game considering he’s put up three straight subpar stat lines since his 145-yard performance vs the Jets. When you factor in just how banged up the Raiders are on the defensive side of the ball, it could be a big night for the Chargers offense.
With his first footy pick of the day, Ninja is betting on a goal prop in Serie A as Roma hosts Torino. Now, Torino does occupy the second-to-last spot in the table, but is eighth in goals for – an interesting situation. Through 11 games, they’ve managed only one win, but have been scoring at a fair clip. Henrikh Mkhitaryan and the Roma squad have won three of their last five in Serie A and will look to build some momentum off their 5-1 thrashing of Bologna.
Next we go to the English Premier League as Everton hosts Arsenal this weekend. This is the first matchup between these two clubs this season, but Arsenal did win the last meeting 3-2 back in February. A lot has changed since then, though. The Toffees sit fifth in the Premier League and have won back-to-back games against Leicester and Chelsea. Everton find themselves five points back of Liverpool for top spot, so a win here would be crucial for their chances.
Pam is looking at the military matchup, which features Air Force taking on Army, for her college football best bet. The ground game will be a prominent aspect here. Air Force averages 336 yards on the ground, while Army gets 280.4. Air Force has won its last two games by a combined score of 63-7. The Falcons have had a couple of weeks off, having last played on December 3, while the Black Knights have played 10 games this season. Pam is looking at the spread for her bet.
