NFL Championship Games, NBA & La Liga Picks for Jan. 22, 2021 | Odds Shark’s Guys & Bets (Episode 308)

Join Joe Osborne, Andrew Avery and Iain MacMillan as they get you set for the NFL’s conference championship games.

Teasers, spreads, totals, prop bets, it’s all here. Plus some Friday night NBA and weekend La Liga action!

With this being conference championship weekend, there is no finer way to start the show off than with a Joe Osborne teaser. He’s been on fire this season, going 19-5-1, and this week he’s doing a same-game teaser on the NFC championship game as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers head to Lambeau Field to face the Green Bay Packers. As of Friday morning, the Packers sit at -3.5 with the total at 51.5.

Over in the AFC, the Kansas City Chiefs host the Buffalo Bills and while there’s a lot of speculation about whether or not Patrick Mahomes will play, early indications coming out of KC suggest he will suit up. This leaves us with a matchup of dynamic quarterbacks and offenses in this game. Considering the highly skilled players that will be on show here, all we need to do is place our bets and sit back and watch the fireworks. Joe is looking at the spread for his bet in this game.

Joe hit his player prop in the NBA on Wednesday’s show, and he’s got another for tonight’s action. He’s going back to the well by picking a big to go OVER against the Timberwolves. It’s no secret that Minnesota has had trouble inside since Karl-Anthony Towns went down, so Joe will look to exploit that vulnerability with his bet.

While Joe has a bet for the spread in the AFC championship game, Iain is looking at the total. When you’re talking about Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen, it’s easy to see points being scored. This game has two of the most explosive wide receivers in the NFL in Tyreek Hill and Stefon Diggs. Sprinkle in some Travis Kelce and an injury to Chiefs cornerback Bashaud Breeland and it could be a good spot for the OVER.

Iain also has his eyes on a rushing prop in the Packers-Buccaneers game. Tampa’s run defense has been top-notch all season, with the Bucs finishing as the top team against the run. Lavonte David, Devin White and their defensive line has made things difficult for opposing backs, and they are looking to stymie the Packers run game once again. Given that the Packers have been using all three running backs, Iain sees a good opportunity here.

Ninja has a footy pick in La Liga as Villarreal faces Huesca on Saturday. Villarreal sits fourth while Huesca is at the bottom of the table. Villarreal is unbeaten in its last three La Liga matches, winning two of them by a combined score of 6-1. The last three times these squads have met, the game has resulted in a draw, but Ninja is banking on the outcome to be different this time around.
