Guys & Bets (Episode 31): Clemson-Alabama, NFL Wild-Card Picks, @spreadinvestor Interview and NBA Quick Picks

The first episode of Guys & Bets 2019 is loaded with big-time matchups as we’ve got the College Football Playoff National Championship game upcoming and Wild Card Weekend in the NFL to think about.

Jonny OddsShark and Andrew Avery break down the latest instalment of Clemson vs Alabama as the pair meet for the fourth straight playoff and third national championship in four seasons. The Tide opened as 6.5-point faves but that has moved to 5.5 at most shops now and Jonny OddsShark is locked and loaded on one of these sides.

Wild Card Weekend is packed with tight lines and that all starts with the Indianapolis Colts visiting the Houston Texans in the opener on Saturday. Andrew Luck and the Colts are tabbed as dogs here despite winning the most recent contest and pushing the Texans to OT in an earlier meeting this season.

Saturday’s second game pits the Seattle Seahawks at the Dallas Cowboys with America’s Team as the slight faves. One thing to note is that this is a night game and as we’ve all learned, you rarely mess with Primetime Pete Carroll. But who is Jonny on?

Sunday’s action kicks off with the Los Angeles Chargers at the Baltimore Ravens with the hosts favored. Lamar Jackson has simply won football games since he took over under center in Baltimore but can he get it done in the postseason in his eighth NFL start?

This week’s final NFL game pits the Philadelphia Eagles at the Chicago Bears and the Bears are the biggest faves on the wild-card board. That said, we know what happens when Nick Foles takes over come playoff time. More magic in 2019 or are the Bears too much as the best bet in the NFL?

If that wasn’t enough, Team OddsShark Super Contest winner James Alberino, better known as @spreadinvestor, stops by to chat more NFL and identify his favorite pick from the weekend ahead. He went on a late-season tear with his sides so you don’t want to miss out on his favorite play.

Finally, if you’re betting NBA Thursday, don’t miss out on who Gilles Gallant is betting from Thursday’s board with his NBA Quick Picks, which includes Kawhi’s return to San Antonio.
