Super Bowl 55 Picks for Feb. 5, 2021 | Odds Shark’s Guys & Bets (Episode 312)

It’s the biggest football game of the year as the Kansas City Chiefs play the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Super Bowl 55 on Sunday.

Joe Osborne, Andrew Avery and Iain MacMillan have their favorite Super Bowl bets lined up, ranging from the spread and total to TD props and much more!

It’s only fitting that Joe opens the show with a bet on the spread. The Chiefs are 3-point favorites heading into Sunday as Super Bowl 55 looks like a classic in the making. The Chiefs had trouble covering the spread down the stretch, but they still managed to win their games outright. Now, in the biggest game of the season, find out which side Joe will go with on the spread.

With so many props to choose from, it’s tough to narrow down the process. But Joe narrowed his down and is eyeing a Patrick Mahomes prop. We know he can sling the ball all over the field, and we know that the Bucs have a stout run defense, so it makes sense to look at what props are available with Mahomes through the air.

Leonard Fournette has been a force for Tampa Bay during its playoff run and with that, Joe is looking at his rushing total, which sits at 47.5. Kansas City’s run defense is fine but nothing to brag about. A lot of this could depend on game flow, but Fournette could be used to determine how the game flows.

We all love betting on touchdown scorers and Ninja has a touchdown prop ready to go. With guys like Travis Kelce, Tyreek Hill, Mike Evans and Chris Godwin having only minimal returns on touchdown props, Ninja is looking at a slightly bigger plus-money bet. Each quarterback has their reliable guys, and this guy is just that.

If you want some mind-blowing Tom Brady Super Bowl stats, Ninja has them. Those are just a part of the equation for his next bet. Ninja’s looking at the total for the first quarter, which sits at 10 points. With these quarterbacks, anything is possible, and the star power could make you think there will be a lot of points, and maybe there will be, but will there be in the first quarter?

As far as the full-game total is concerned, this Super Bowl has one of the highest totals and who can blame the oddsmakers?! Two of the best quarterbacks lead high-powered offenses with a plethora of weapons to choose from, along with two aggressive coaches who implement a game plan. Iain’s first bet on the show today is on the total.

Next up for Iain is a rushing prop as Chiefs back Clyde Edwards-Helaire has a total at 30.5 yards. The Buccaneers have a very good run defense, with two dynamic linebackers leading the way in Lavonte David and Devin White. Kansas City can air it out with the best of them, but they do rely on their backs to create some space for Mahomes. But it might be more so in the passing game than on the ground in this one.

With all the talk about touchdowns and high-powered offenses, let’s not forget about the kickers. The total for field goals made is set at 3.5. Both kickers are solid, but the question is how many attempts will they have? Iain has a bet lined up for the total on this one.
