College basketball’s conference tournaments continue, plus we have a slew of NBA and Premier League picks to break down on today’s show.
Joe Osborne, Andrew Avery and Iain MacMillan have their best bets laid out and the guys want to hear from you as well. Drop your best bets in the chat and any questions you may have.
The Miami Heat square off with the Chicago Bulls in the Windy City tonight and Joe is looking at Jimmy Butler’s point total for his bet. Butler is the heartbeat of this Miami team and with Bam Adebayo out of the lineup, he will be counted upon to deliver even more on the offensive end. The Heat can spread the points around on any given night, so you’ll want to hear Joe’s reasoning for his bet here.
One of the more underappreciated players in the NBA is Nikola Jokic and Joe is betting on his point total as the Denver Nuggets are in Memphis to meet the Grizzlies. Jokic is one of the more talented bigs in the NBA but his game involves so much more than just scoring. Facing a Grizzlies team that can play stout defense and grind a team down, Jokic could be hard pressed to reach the OVER. But what does Joe think?
Joe has one more player prop for tonight’s NBA action. He’s looking at Zion Williamson’s point total as the New Orleans Pelicans are home to the lowly Cleveland Cavaliers. Yes, Joe knows this is a back-to-back for New Orleans, but Zion has the potential to have a field day with a lackluster Cavs defense. The young superstar is averaging 25.5 on the season, but Joe has great numbers for Zion in back-to-back games.
In the Premier League, we have Chelsea taking on Leeds and that is where Ninja is going for his bet. Chelsea is in the fourth spot in the Prem, two points clear of West Ham for the all-important final spot in Champions League. The Blues have made some nice adjustments under Thomas Tuchel, having gone unbeaten in their last 12 games across all competitions. For Leeds, they had a nice start in the Premier League but have since cooled and find themselves in the middle of the pack with no real worries about being relegated or qualifying for Europa.
Ninja has another bet for this weekend’s Premier League slate and he’s looking at the match between Leicester City and Sheffield United. Sheffield enters this match having won two of its last seven but occupies the basement in the Prem. Those two wins represent half of the victories they’ve accumulated this season. So for Ninja, it’s a bet on Leicester City, the question is, which one?
In the SEC, LSU is a small fave against Ole Miss, and Iain is ignoring the line altogether and picking a moneyline Sportsbook. In the regular season, LSU put up 13 points per game more than Ole Miss, but also surrendered 13 more points per game. This is an interesting stylistic matchup with a more free-flowing Tigers squad trying to run the Rebels out of the building. You’ll want to hear Iain’s full breakdown before you place your bet on this game.
In the Big Ten Tournament, it’s Luka Garza and the fifth-ranked Iowa Hawkeyes facing the Wisconsin Badgers, a team that rides its seniors. Iowa has a chance to force itself on Wisconsin with the presence of Luka Garza, as he is a mismatch for any defender the Badgers could throw at him. The Sportsbook of this game faces the Sportsbook between Illinois and Rutgers.
