The guys have a nice midweek betting slate for today’s show with some NBA, PGA, NHL and Champions League games on the board.
Joe Osborne, Andrew Avery and Iain MacMillan picked out their best lines for today’s slate and you can hear their reasoning for each one. But they want to hear from you as well so drop your favorite bets in the chat!
Joe will get things started in the NBA as the surging Brooklyn Nets are on the road to face the Indiana Pacers. The Nets are 13-1 in their last 14 games and have done most of this without Kevin Durant. James Harden and Kyrie Irving have been a great duo to carry this squad thus far and Steve Nash has really implemented his system and let the guys run. Joe is staying away from the total and the full game line, instead choosing another line for his bet here.
Joe has a couple of player props and his first one is on Jerami Grant as the Detroit Pistons host the Toronto Raptors. Grant has had his chance to shine this season after inking a three-year, $60-million deal in the off-season. He’s taken full advantage and been pouring in 23.4 points per game to go along with 5.2 boards. Joe is looking at his points total for his play in this matchup.
In the NBA, it’s the Charlotte Hornets on the road to take on the Denver Nuggets. Joe is betting on a plus-money player prop in this game. There are so many shooters these days that it can be challenging to find value on a guy to hit his three-point prop. There is a player on Denver that Joe likes to go over on three-pointers made tonight.
It’s the Round of 16 in Champions League as Bayern Munich looks to end Lazio. The German squad is clearly superior, winning the Sportsbook leg 4-1 while possessing the ball 56 percent of the match. Robert Lewandowski opened the scoring for Bayern Munich, and with that marker, he became the third-highest scorer of all time in Champions League. With so many options to lay some money down, Ninja narrowed it down for his bet here.
On the ice tonight, we have the Montreal Canadiens facing the Winnipeg Jets and that’s where Iain is going for his first pick. The Habs have seen an improvement on their power play along with some shakeups to line combos since Dom Ducharme took over behind the bench. Tyler Toffoli is currently in a three-way tie for second in the NHL with 17 goals after notching a pair against the Jets on Monday. This is the last game of a six-game road trip for the Canadiens in which they have won two games.
The PGA Tour stop this week is the Honda Classic at the PGA National in Palm Beach Gardens. Sungjae Im is the defending champion and he’s coming in at +1400 to repeat. Daniel Berger is the betting favorite at +1000 but Iain isn’t picking an outright Sportsbook. Instead, he’s found value on a golfer with a good history at PGA National to finish inside the top 20.
