NBA, NHL & PGA Tour Picks for March 31, 2021 | Odds Shark’s Guys & Bets (Episode 329)

The guys put together a nice mixture of bets for today’s show as Joe, Ninja and Iain talk some NBA, NHL and golf betting.

We’ve got a good one in Indiana as the Pacers host the Miami Heat. The Pacers sit one game behind the Heat for the eighth spot in the Eastern Conference but are 2.5 games out of fourth. The Heat are a streaky team and snapped a six-game losing streak with a 98-88 win over the Knicks on Tuesday. But before the losing skid, they went 11-1. So, good luck figuring out which team will show up each night. Joe is looking at the total for his bet on this game.

James Harden faces his former squad once again and Joe is betting on Harden’s points, rebounds and assists total. The number is set at 48.5, which for a lot of players would be very high, but Harden torched the Rockets for 53 points in their last meeting.

The San Antonio Spurs and Sacramento Kings are playing for the second time in three days in San Antonio. Joe has had some success lately betting the points and rebounds player props, so he’s going back to it once again. This time he’s betting on a player who has stepped up lately as his role has increased.

Over on the ice, we have the Vancouver Canucks hosting the Calgary Flames. The Flames lead the season series, winning four of the last six matchups. It looked as if the Canucks were about to turn the corner, winning four straight, but then they proceeded to drop their next three games. The Flames had a great opportunity to make up ground for a playoff run, but they have dropped five of their last six. Iain is looking at a moneyline play here.

The PGA Tour stop this week is in San Antonio for the Valero Texas Open. This isn’t the strongest field to tee off on tour this season with guys like Bryson DeChambeau, Dustin Johnson, Rory McIlroy and Jon Rahm all skipping the event. You’re looking at the likes of Jordan Spieth, Matt Kuchar, Tony Finau and so on. That leaves the door wide open for a winner, and Iain is taking advantage of that with a nice plus-money bet.

In the Association, the struggling Detroit Pistons host the Portland Trail Blazers. Ninja is looking at Norm Powell’s points total for his bet on this game. Powell was a nice pickup for Portland at the trade deadline as he offers some scoring and backcourt flexibility. If Portland wants to contend in the West, Powell will have to be a key contributor.
