NBA & MLB Picks for April 21, 2021 | Odds Shark’s Guys & Bets (Episode 334)

Joe Osborne and Andrew Avery have your midweek sports capping all set as the guys hit some NBA and MLB bets.

First, we head to the diamond with the Atlanta Braves in New York to face the Yankees. This will finish off the two-game set between the clubs with the Yanks winning last night 3-1. Neither team has come out of the gates as many had anticipated, with the Braves at 7-10 and the Yankees at 6-10. Joe is looking at a first-five inning bet in this game with dominant OPS numbers swinging him to one side.

In the NBA, one of the more intriguing games has the Washington Wizards hosting the Golden State Warriors. Steph Curry has been on some kind of tear lately, but oddly enough, so have the Wizards. Washington has won five in a row and finds itself tied for 10th in the East for that last play-in spot. Russell Westbrook has been his ridiculous self with eight triple-doubles in his last nine games. Bradley Beal has been tearing it up as well, and the Wizards are also unbeaten in the last eight games he’s played. In that run was a 110-107 win over the Warriors on April 9. Joe is making a bet against the spread in this game.

Joe has a player prop bet in the Pacers-Thunder game to finish off his capping. This one is for a player to go OVER three-pointers made. With the Thunder seemingly just playing out the string nine games out of a playoff spot, this could be a good opportunity for the Pacers to make up ground in the East as they sit in the ninth spot. It doesn’t help their chances with Domantas Sabonis out again, but it does open the door for others to step up and have more shots. See which player Joe is banking to cash in from long range.

Don’t look now but the Oakland A’s are the hottest team in MLB. After a cold streak to start the season, the A’s have rattled off 10 straight wins and look for No. 11 against the Minnesota Twins today. It’s a nice pitching matchup with Kenta Maeda taking the mound for the Twins and the A’s countering with Frankie Montas. Montas has given up just one earned run in his last two starts, while Maeda has surrendered five earned runs in his three starts thus far. Ninja is looking at the total for his bet on this game.

Staying on the diamond, Ninja has an F5 bet for an AL West matchup as the Texas Rangers are on the road to face the Anaheim Angels. The pitching matchup could be a hitter’s delight with Mike Foltynewicz (0-3, 5.63 ERA) getting the ball for Texas and the Angels countering with Jose Quintana (0-1, 16.20 ERA). This game concludes a three-game series between the clubs, which have split the Sportsbook two games.
