Talk about a full-blown avalanche of sports! Joe Osborne and Andrew Avery will break it down for you and give their best Wednesday bets.
We start off in the NBA with Game 2 between the Washington Wizards and the top-seeded Philadelphia 76ers. The Sixers found a way to win Game 1 by a score of 125-118 thanks to 37 points from Tobias Harris. This series could be a lot closer than a typical 1 vs 8 seed matchup. Joe is looking at the spread for his bet on this game.
As you’ve come to expect, Joe has a player prop wager lined up for tonight’s NBA slate. He’s looking at an Atlanta player total as the Hawks are in Madison Square Garden for Game 2 against the New York Knicks. The Hawks squeaked out a Game 1 win by a score of 107-105 and are now 28-11 since Nate McMillan took over as head coach for Lloyd Pierce.
The Los Angeles Dodgers and Houston Astros finish up a little two-game set today, as L.A. trots out Trevor Bauer and Houston counters with Luis Garcia. The Dodgers hit a bump in the road in late April and into May, but boy oh boy have they turned the corner. They’ve gone 12-1 in their last 13 games and have allowed three runs or less in 10 of them. It’s a moneyline play here for Joe.
Ninja has a couple of MLB plays for today’s show, and he starts off with a moneyline play as the Red Sox host the Braves. Atlanta took Game 1 of this two-game set 3-1 behind seven strong innings from Charlie Morton. The Sox dropped three of four to Texas in late April into May, and since then have only lost one series. Nick Pivetta takes the mound for the home squad while the Braves counter with Drew Smyly.
In the NL West, it’s the Arizona Diamondbacks hosting the San Francisco Giants. It’s the first games of the season between these clubs, and the Giants asserted themselves yesterday with a commanding 8-0 win. The Diamondbacks are going the wrong way fast. They’ve dropped nine in a row. Ninja is looking at a moneyline bet on this contest.
