Guys & Bets (Episode 41): Tonight’s Bites, Betting NHL Pucklines, Stanley Cup Futures and NBA Quick Picks

Kris Abbott joins Andrew Avery on this Thursday episode of Guys & Bets, which is heavily focused on NHL betting now that the NFL season is in the rear-view mirror.

First, though, Kris breaks down his three favorite plays on Thursday’s board in Tonight’s Bites. Kris examines the TNT Thursday doubleheader in the NBA with the Boston Celtics hosting LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers before the Portland Trail Blazers entertain the San Antonio Spurs in the finale. Over in the NHL, it’s a battle of Western Conference heavyweights as the San Jose Sharks visit the Calgary Flames.

As an NHL bettor, Kris breaks down what he looks for when betting pucklines, which can net you some pretty good betting value as opposed to moneylines.

Next, Kris combs the NHL Stanley Cup futures board and has three picks that he feels present bettors some good value and all the teams share something in common that is always a key to making a deep run come playoff time on the ice.

We talked to Joe Osborne about Super Bowl 54 futures on the Tuesday show and Kris is here to do the same as he highlights two ripoff picks and two value picks.

As usual with every Thursday show, Gilles Gallant is here to break down his own favorite plays from tonight’s NBA card in NBA Quick Picks.

After the guys discuss what happened – and didn’t – on NBA trade deadline day, Andrew breaks down a couple of Champions League bets he’s got his eyes on when Europe’s top club competition resumes next week.
