Guys & Bets (Episode 42): Tonight’s Bites, Daytona 500 Duels, Phil Mickelson @ the US Open, Ajax-Real Madrid & NHL Quick Picks

Jonny OddsShark makes his triumphant return to Guys & Bets after enjoying some post-Super Bowl downtime. On today’s show, the guys talk a little NASCAR, Champions League, golf, CFL and more. But first, it’s Tonight’s Bites.

On this Tuesday episode, Andrew Avery and Jonny break down three games from across all sports beginning in the NBA. Over in the Eastern Conference, the Boston Celtics visit the Philadelphia 76ers and will be without Kyrie Irving. Is that enough to scare off Jonny from a Celtics play? In college basketball, the SEC headlines the action as LSU visits Kentucky with both teams red-hot. Finally, it’s an Original Six battle in the NHL as the Chicago Blackhawks visit the Boston Bruins as sizable underdogs.

It’s Daytona 500 week so the guys take a look at the odds to win the race, but Jonny has a much more fun way to bet NASCAR as it enters its most famous race weekend.

With Phil Mickelson coming off yet another win at Pebble Beach, is it his year to win the U.S. Open considering it’s at the same course where Lefty has had much success?

Kris Abbott joins the show to break down his NHL Quick Picks from tonight’s board.

In betting news, a couple of football players are on the move with Kareem Hunt getting picked up by the Cleveland Browns which, when/if he ever does indeed get back to the field, could add some electrifying depth to their backfield. Up in the CFL, quarterback Mike Reilly is on the move, which could change the landscape of the league.

Finally, Champions League features a huge matchup on Wednesday as Dutch giant Ajax hosts defending champion Real Madrid in their first leg of their Round of 16 matchup and Andrew takes a stab at a pick.
