A pair of undefeated colts lead in Kentucky Derby future wagering in the latest odds.
The leader in the clubhouse with three months to go before the first Saturday of May is Mohaymen at +450, who started off his three-year-old campaign by winning the Holy Bull (G2) at Gulfstream Park in an impressive effort last Saturday.
The Kiaran McLaughlin trainee drew off to win by 3 ½ lengths for his fourth career victory. He broke his maiden in his debut and then won the Nashua (G2) and Remsen (G2) in New York before shipping south.
The colt is second in the Road to the Kentucky Derby Points Standings with 20. His next start will likely come in the Fountain of Youth (G2) at Gulfstream Park on February 27.
Nyquist is second in early Kentucky Derby wagering at +1000. The Doug O'Neill trainee won all five of his starts as a two-year-old, capped off by his victory in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile (G1) at Keeneland on October 31 that locked up the Eclipse Award for top juvenile of 2015.
The colt has been training for his three-year-old debut, which will come in the San Vicente Stakes (G2) at seven furlongs on February 15.
The son of Uncle Mo leads all three-year-olds in the Road to the Kentucky Derby Points Standings with 30.
Sunny Ridge's price in early Derby betting dropped to +2500 after his victory in last Saturday's Withers Stakes (G3) at Aqueduct. The victory earned him 10 Derby points, moving him to third in the standings with 18.
There is one Derby points race on tap for this weekend, Saturday’s $150,000 Robert B. Lewis (G3) at Santa Anita with 10-4-2-1 points up for grabs for entry into the Run for the Roses.
Leading the field is Mor Spirit, the Bob Baffert trainee coming in off a victory in the Los Alamitos Futurity (G1) on December 19 in his last start. He is currently listed at +1800 in future Derby odds at Sportsbook.
