American Pharoah will be chasing Triple Crown history on Saturday at the Belmont Stakes and odds are good that bettors won’t find a ton of horse betting value on the favored horse.
Only twice in the past 13 failed Triple Crown attempts (where a horse has won both the Kentucky Derby and the Preakness Stakes) has the history-chasing horse gone off at better than even odds.
Charismatic and War Emblem were the only horses to fit that bill for post time betting odds.
Recently, two of the past three Triple Crown chasers failed to finish the race (Big Brown who pulled up lame, and I’ll Have Another who was scratched before the race).
