PowerPlay, an Ontario sportsbook, has launched a new platform from a position of strength.
The book says its new localized platform for Ontario players (19+) will mean an enhanced sportsbook and expanded casino experience, all created to operate in line with the province’s regulated market requirements.

The new localized platform became accessible to Ontario players this week at on.powerplay.com. PowerPlay says platform enhancements to its updated site mean significant improvements that will maintain the familiar interface to which PowerPlay players have become accustomed.

Among their improvements, casino players and sports bettors will find the following features at the renovated PowerPlay.
- Advanced Betting Options – Same-game parlays and player props will be available across nearly 30 sports categories.
- Expanded Casino Selection – The site added hundreds of new casino games, including slots, table games, and live dealer options.
- Multi-Game Functionality – It will be possible to “play multiple games simultaneously for an enhanced gaming experience.”
- Payments – Banking options include major banks, credit/debit cards, Paysafecard, and other supported methods.

With Ontario the only regulated jurisdiction in Canada, the book says its platform has been “specifically designed to meet the unique needs of Ontario players while ensuring full compliance with provincial regulations.”

Another Recent PowerPlay Move - Partnership with Gig Software
In other recent PowerPlay news, the operator partnered with Sweden-based Gig Software Plc, a B2B iGaming technology company.
GiG's PowerPlay partnership announcement marks its fourth partner launch in 2025 across regulated markets.
Under the terms of the partnership, GiG provides PowerPlay with its “award-winning iGaming platform, innovative content management system, and its sportsbook, SportX, which offers advanced bet-builder capabilities, dynamic odds, and a comprehensive suite of localized features, including horse racing and virtual sports betting,” said the release.
PowerPlay now has access to GiG's dynamic AI tools, DataX and LogicX. These tools add advanced machine-learning models to PowerPlay's toolkit, which should improve decision-making and rule-building and increase player acquisition and customer retention.
