Starting Pitchers

Freddy Peralta (2-1) will look to win his third straight game when he takes the mound for Milwaukee. The right-hander pitched 5.2 innings on May 10 against the Cincinnati Reds, giving up four hits and one earned run while fanning eight. Peralta has a 4.40 ERA and a 1.26 WHIP in 28.2 innings this season.

Ian Anderson (3-1) gets the ball for Atlanta, having not suffered a loss since his first start of the season on April 10. He went 5.1 innings in his last outing against the Boston Red Sox on May 11, surrendering seven hits and three earned runs in a no-decision. Anderson has a 4.20 ERA and a 1.40 WHIP through 30 innings of work.

Braves Lose In Extra Innings To Padres

The Braves fell 7-3 to the San Diego Padres in extra innings on Sunday, losing two of three contests in the three-game set. Atlanta got off to an early 3-0 lead thanks to an error in the second inning after an Adam Duvall single, followed by a two-run shot from Dansby Swanson in the fourth. However, San Diego tied the game up in the seventh and then scored four in the 11th to seal the game.

Giving up plenty of runs has been a trend for the Braves, who rank 24th in the majors with 4.50 runs against per game. That number has trended even higher lately as Atlanta is allowing 6.33 runs per contest over its last three outings.

Brewers Bats Come To Life Against Marlins

The Brewers concluded a three-game series against the Miami Marlins with a 7-3 win on Sunday. Milwaukee did most of its damage in a four-run fifth inning when Jace Peterson and Kolten Wong each hit solo home runs while Rowdy Tellez and Omar Narvaez had RBI singles. Brandon Woodruff gave up five hits and one earned run over five innings to earn the win.

Milwaukee has been hitting the ball well this season, boasting the seventh-best offense in the majors at 4.82 runs per game. Tellez leads the club with 29 RBIs, just four back of Cleveland’s Jose Ramirez for the top mark in the majors. Willy Adames (24 RBIs) and Christian Yelich (20 RBIs) have also been integral parts of a strong start to the season for the Brewers.

Braves vs Brewers Pick & Insights

Braves: Keys To Victory

Pitching will be key for the Braves as they look to slow down a Brewers team that is scoring nearly six runs per game over its last four outings. Anderson hasn’t been at his best through six starts this season but Atlanta will be hoping that the 24-year-old can find his form from last year relatively quickly.

Brewers: Keys To Victory

The Brewers’ bats will look to feast on Anderson, who hasn’t had the strongest start to his season. The Braves starter has a WHIP of 1.59 through two starts in May – something that Milwaukee’s offense can look to take advantage of.
