Starting Pitchers

Ranger Suarez (9-5) took a no-decision in his last start on September 16 despite pitching a gem against the Braves, giving up just two hits and one earned run over six innings. The Phillies starter has a 3.53 ERA and a 1.30 WHIP over 140.1 innings.

Max Fried (13-6) will make his second consecutive start against the Phillies after allowing four hits and two earned runs over six innings vs Philadelphia on September 16. The southpaw has a 2.52 ERA and a 1.02 WHIP over 175.1 innings.

Nationals End Braves’ Win Streak

The Braves had their five-game win streak snapped Wednesday when they lost 3-2 to the Washington Nationals. After taking a 2-0 lead in the first two innings, the Braves failed to score again as Joey Meneses hit a two-run homer in the seventh to give the Nationals the lead and eventually the win.

Despite the loss, Atlanta’s pitching remained hot – the Braves have allowed just 2.44 runs per game over their last nine contests. On the offensive side, Ronald Acuna Jr. is leading the way over the last week with two homers and seven RBIs in six games.

Phillies Finally Get A Win Against Blue Jays

Philadelphia ended its five-game losing streak on Wednesday with a 4-3 win over the Toronto Blue Jays in extra innings. Down 3-0 in the eighth, the Phillies scored three runs to tie the game and send it to extras. In the 10th, the Phils loaded the bases leading to Matt Vierling’s walkoff RBI single to win the game.

J.T. Realmuto and Kyle Schwarber each hit another home run in the contest, bringing their totals to five and four, respectively, over their last seven games. Realmuto continues his hot September with seven homers and 14 RBIs in 16 contests.

Braves Player Prop: Harris To Record An RBI (+240)

Michael Harris II has been swinging a hot bat with a team-leading 14 RBIs in September. Though he hasn’t driven in a run in a couple of games, the outfielder is getting great odds at +240 so it may be worth taking a swing on Harris to get an RBI.

Phillies Player Prop: Realmuto To Hit A Home Run (+500)

If you’re looking to swing for the fences on a player prop, look no further than Realmuto. The Phillies catcher has homers in two straight games and four in his last six. +500 for another one tonight is a fun gamble that could pay off.

Braves: Keys To Win

The Braves have relied on their strong pitching to pick up plenty of wins of late, and that trend should continue with Fried on the mound. The left-hander has a stingy 1.98 ERA over his last eight starts. If he brings his A-game again, Atlanta should get right back into the win column.

Phillies: Keys To Win

Realmuto and Schwarber have been the Phillies’ hottest bats this month and that continued on Wednesday as they willed their club back into the win column. If Philadelphia is going to earn another victory, those two will have to be key contributors once again.
