Blue Jays vs Rangers

MLB Same-Game Parlay Today: Blue Jays vs Red Sox (+280)

The Blue Jays are at Fenway Park this week, so it only makes sense I kick the week off with another MLB same-game parlay in the AL East.

Toronto is down bad, having lost six consecutive games, including three to the Red Sox not long ago. Here are three legs for my Blue Jays vs Red Sox same-game parlay:

Blue Jays vs Red Sox Same-Game Parlay: June 24th

The Game: Blue Jays vs Red Sox -  7:10 p.m. ET

BetOdds
Tanner Houck OVER 4.5 Strikeouts-170
Spencer Horwitz OVER 0.5 Hits-230
Red Sox Moneyline-150
Overall+280

Same-Game Parlay Pick No. 1: Houck OVER 0.5 Strikeouts

This is easy money. I'll admit, Houck has come close on a few of these prop OVERs, but he's been largely reliable. For example, the Sox righty has struck out OVER 4.5 hitters in 12 of 15 contests, including seven straight OVERs.

Houck's last outing was against Toronto. And while he stumbled early, he recovered for 5.2 IP and five strikeouts. His strikeout numbers (and general numbers) are always good vs Toronto, too. Active Blue Jays own just a .729 OPS vs Houck, and many guys have tons of strikeouts against him.

One player guaranteed to help our bet? Poor George Springer, whose .566 OPS is the worst among qualified hitters. He's also 0-for-7 lifetime vs Houck with five Ks.

Same-Game Parlay Pick No. 2: Horwitz OVER 0.5 Hits

Horwitz has been very impactful since his call-up from Triple-A, batting .366 with two homers and five RBIs. He's one of a few Toronto hitters who is seeing the ball extremely well. On top of that, Horwitz regularly bats at the top of the Jays order, so he'll have ample opportunity to cash our OVER.

Overall, Horwitz has cashed this OVER in 10 of 13 contests (77%), including a hit in each game of the previous Boston series, making him 1-for-2 with a double vs Houck.

Same-Game Parlay Pick No. 3: Red Sox ML

Sorry, Jays fans. I'm just not sure things will get any better Monday on the road. Boston's offense rocks, boasting speed and consistent power atop the order. We saw the Sox light up the Jays at Rogers Centre a week ago, and I'm not sure enough has changed in the days since then.

The Blue Jays offense has also been stuck in a rut. Before Sunday, Toronto went five straight games scoring three runs or less. Facing Houck, the Red Sox ace, won't make things any easier for a depleted offense.
