I'm back to break down Game 2 Dodgers vs Mets odds for this NLCS.

The sportsbooks have this one as basically a toss up, with the Dodgers at -112 and the Mets sitting at -104 per FanDuel. With Luis Severino and Walker Buehler taking the mound, there's a lot of volatility in this contest.

I've caught myself fully believing in these miracle Mets, and tonight's game is no different.

Luis Severino hasn't been brilliant in this postseason, but he's giving the Mets a chance to win. In both of his starts this playoff he's pitched exactly six innings and given up exactly three earned runs. For a Mets offense that's scored at least four runs in five of their last six games, that gives New York a chance.

For Walker Buehler, it's been a bit of a different story. After rocking a 5.38 ERA during the regular season, he kicked off his postseason with six runs allowed to the Padres. It's hard to see things getting much better for Walker, as the Dodgers righty allows a .925 OPS to active Mets hitters.

With the Mets putting up seven runs on the Dodgers' bullpen last game too, I don't see how New York doesn't have a day offensively tonight. As long as Severino can hand them a quality start, there's a clear path to a New York win.

Pete Alonso OVER 0.5 RBI (+175)

Pete Alonso is the one New York bat to really watch in this contest. He's been pretty solid in this postseason, with seven hits and six RBI in nine playoff games, so far.

But, the big key here is his edge over Buehler. The Mets' big bopper has four homers in 14 career at-bats against Walker Buehler, good for a 1.571 OPS. Alonso somehow has eight RBI in just 14 at-bats against the Dodgers righty, one of the most incredible individual RBI rates I've seen. With this +175 value, betting on a Pete RBI is the easiest wager I've made all postseason.
