One surprising source of offense has been 41-year-old Albert Pujols. San Diego received an injury scare on Saturday when Fernando Tatis Jr. tweaked his shoulder while diving to make a play on a ball, but the injury was nothing serious and the star shortstop is listed as probable to make his return on Monday night.
San Diego enters Monday’s action sitting five games behind San Francisco and 3.5 games behind Los Angeles in the NL West standings with a 42-32 record.
