Escobar’s Five-RBI Night Helps Mets Rally To Victory

The Mets picked up a series win over the Miami Marlins on Wednesday thanks to a 5-4 victory in extra innings. New York rallied back from a 4-0 deficit after Eduardo Escobar hit a two-run homer in the seventh and followed that up with a two-RBI single in the eighth. Escobar capped his five-RBI night off with the walk-off single in the 10th.

It was another big night for the third baseman, who now has a team-leading 11 RBI over the last week. Escobar also had a four-RBI performance last Friday against the Athletics.

Braves’ Offense Comes Up Short Again

The Braves dropped their series finale to the Washington Nationals on Wednesday as they lost 3-2 in extra innings. Matt Olson hit a solo shot in the second while Dansby Swanson came home on an error in the eighth to round out the scoring for the Braves, who managed just six hits in the ballgame.

Atlanta has had a habit of struggling to score in its losses of late as the club is averaging just two runs per game over its last eight defeats.

Mets Player Prop: Escobar OVER 3 Hits + Runs + RBIs (+106)

Escobar has been red hot over his last five outings with seven hits, two homers, three runs and 11 RBIs in those contests. If the third baseman has another decent night, he should easily hit the OVER on three hits, runs and RBIs.

Braves Player Prop: Harris OVER 3 Total Bases From Hits (+100)

Michael Harris II has been Atlanta’s most consistent hitter this month with a team-leading 32 hits and 57 total bases – 16 more bases than the club’s next-closest batters. Harris is getting +100 to record at least three total bases on Friday – a feat he’s accomplished nine times this month.

Mets vs Braves Picks & Insights

Mets: Keys To Win

New York’s challenge on Friday will be dealing with Fried, who hasn’t given up more than two earned runs in nine straight starts. If the Mets are going to take the series opener, they’ll need deGrom to have a strong start and hopefully get at least two or three runs past Fried.

Braves: Keys To Win

The Braves have clearly struggled to score in each of their last eight losses so there’s a simple formula for them to win: score more than two or three runs! No one has been particularly hot at the plate so it’ll take a group effort for Atlanta to put up some offense.
