NRFI Picks Today: Runs Galore In Dodgers Contest

NRFI picks today? Nah, let's rack up some runs.

Start your betting day with two electrifying YRFI picks fueled by high-powered offenses and pitching matchups ripe for early fireworks. First up, Marlins vs. Dodgers in a clash of a dominant lineup against a vulnerable starter. Then, Yankees vs. Orioles promises a first-inning eruption thanks to some favorable hitter-pitcher matchups. Let’s dive into the action.

YRFI Pick Today: Marlins vs Dodgers (-125) at Sportsbook

Marlins vs Dodgers Odds -- 3:10 pm ET

This is a no-brainer YRFI for me, despite a shiny NRFI record from Marlins starter Cal Quantrill. The Miami righty is 5-0 NRFI this year, but now he meets the juggernaut Dodgers, a club that has crushed him before.

Los Angeles is on a five-game YRFI streak, pushing the club into the top 10 with a 17-13 YRFI record. Wednesday, the Dodgers get Quantrill, who has yielded a .930 OPS to active Dodgers hitters in 118 at-bats. Freddie Freeman, Shohei Ohtani, and Teoscar Hernandez all own an OPS north of .800 vs Quantrill, leading me to believe we will see a run.

On the other side, Tony Gonsolin makes his first appearance in nearly two seasons, so there's just enough chaos in this game to create a YRFI.

YRFI Pick Today: Yankees vs Orioles (-140) at Sportsbook

Yankees vs Orioles Odds -- 6:45 pm ET

This is another contest with a potential nuclear first inning. I wish the odds were more in our favor, but here's how we are going to win. Does anyone believe Carlos Carrasco will keep it together for his sixth straight NRFI? I certainly don't, and if he does, it'll be more of a fluke than anything else. The O's don't have crazy stats against him, though Gunnar Henderson is 3-for-5 with a homer; the longball could be the key here.

I like our chances with Carrasco and Orioles starter Cade Povich, whom Yankees hitters have sized up for 10 career at-bats. The Yanks are 3-for-10 against him with five walks and no strikeouts. Aaron Judge has also homered off Povich, and that's the exact matchup I'm watching for Wednesday.

We have Carrasco on the mound, preceded by a Judge vs Povich matchup. The soft-tossing lefty won't have a chance.
