Anderson hasn’t skipped a beat since returning from the DL

Brett Anderson and Jeff Samardzija are slated to get the ball in this one. Anderson (1-2, 5.75 ERA) scattered three hits over five scoreless innings in a victory at Cleveland in his return from a lengthy trip to the disabled list in his last appearance. The 30-year-old hadn’t pitched since May 18. Anderson has made nine career starts vs San Fran, going 2-4 with a 4.53 ERA.

Samardzija (1-5, 6.42) took the loss against St. Louis last Saturday after surrendering three runs and seven hits in five innings. The veteran is winless since his season debut vs the Los Angeles Angels. Samardzija owns a 2-2 record and a bloated 7.92 ERA in four career starts vs Oakland.
