Orioles vs Blue Jays MLB

MLB Same-Game Parlay Today: Blue Jays vs Orioles (+348)

I'm kicking off my week with an MLB same-game parlay in the American League East. We've got the Orioles heading to Toronto to face off against the Blue Jays in a particularly interesting pitching matchup.

Here are my MLB same-game parlay legs for this Orioles vs Blue Jays showdown:

Same-Game Parlay Pick No. 1: Under 7.5 Runs

I get that the Blue Jays’ offense has been firing a little better lately. But they’ve still scored over five runs in a game just once in their last six. The Orioles have also gone under seven total runs in three of their last four.

But, the big reason I’m on this under is the pitching. After a suspect start to the year, Kevin Gausman is on a bit of a roll. The Toronto ace has thrown three-straight quality starts and allowed two total runs over his last two outings (13-3 strikeouts to walks, too).

Grayson Rodriguez has also been pretty good lately, too. He’s allowed six total runs over his last four starts and has let up over two ER in just two Strats this year. Rodriguez has also allowed just seven runs across his three career starts against the Jays.

Same-Game Parlay Pick No. 2: Grayson Rodriguez Over 5.5 Ks

I mentioned GRod's success against the Blue Jays up top, and he's gone over 5.5 Ks in two of his last three starts against the Jays as well. But, Rodriguez is also kind of money for an over 5.5 K line in general. The 24-year-old has gone over 5.5 Ks in five of his last six games, registering seven or more strikeouts in his last three starts.

If there's one cause for concern here, it's that the Jays don't strike out as much as you'd think for a below-average offense. They've struck out over 5.5 times to opposing starts just twice in their last six. And, in the last month, the Jays have the second-fewest strikeouts in baseball.

Same-Game Parlay Pick No. 3: Ryan Mountcastle Hit

Let's start broad here. Ryan Mountcastle has seven hits in his last four games, including at least one hit in every contest. But, he also rakes against the Blue Jays. In 54 games against Toronto, Mountcastle has 66 hits and a .322 average (.984 OPS).

If you think Mountcastle is going to find the turf twice today, you should probably back an Orioles win, as well. Baltimore is 11-3 in games where Mountcastle gets two hits this year.
