The Phillies and Braves always jockey for NL East title, but Philly pulled away in 2024, racking up 95 wins.
Despite a stellar 95-67 regular-season record, the Phillies ran into a fiesty Mets team in the NLDS, losing in four games. The Phillies are bringing back most of their 2025 roster, with a few changes in the bullpen. The batting order features standouts like Trea Turner, Bryce Harper, Kyle Schwarber, and Alec Bohm, while the rotation, led by Zack Wheeler and Aaron Nola, now includes Jesus Luzardo, newly acquired from the Marlins.
In this 2025 Phillies season preview, I’ll explore the latest odds, highlight key projections, and uncover the best bets for the team this year.
2025 Phillies Odds: Division, NL Pennant, World Series
World Series Odds | NL Pennant Odds | NL East Odds |
---|---|---|
+1200 | +750 | +190 |
Odds as of March 5
The road to the NL Pennant runs through the surefire World Series favorite Dodgers. On paper, every team is at a disadvantage against L.A. The Phillies have some aging stars but lack the depth of some other top clubs. But baseball is a weird sport, and I see good things happening with +750 odds for the Phils to win the Senior Circuit.
Randomly, dog-tired veterans can go off for a big season. Harper had another All-Star season last year; Schwarber hit for power, and Wheeler defied Father Time again with a second-place Cy Young finish at 34 years old. This roster will eventually hit a wall, but not in 2025. I'm optimistic, even in a competitive NL East. Take a look at the Phils to reach the World Series (+750) like they did in 2022.
2025 Phillies Win Total Odds
2025 Win Total | OVER | UNDER |
---|---|---|
91.5 | +100 | -130 |
Odds as of March 5
I'm an OVER man here. In other previews and articles, I've highlighted the Mets as the team to watch in the NL East, but even-money on a 92-win season from the Phils sounds good to me. This pitching staff has stayed very healthy over the last few years, and even if one of Turner, Schwarber, or Harper declines, Philly should have enough to get it done.

Wheeler defied expectations yet again last year, delivering a dominant 2.57 ERA with 224 strikeouts over 200 innings. He led the NL in WHIP (0.955) and H/9 (6.3), cementing his place among baseball’s elite pitchers.
The Phillies ace finished second in NL Cy Young voting, but as he turns 35 in May, it is likely the closest he will come to winning the award. After six straight years of a heavy workload, a step backward seems very plausible, whether it is declining stuff or physical wear. I am avoiding Wheeler this season, especially at +750.
The same logic applies to Harper at +1400. He's no longer a defensive contributor, his health has been shaky over the last three seasons, and there are sharper, younger players on the NL MVP odds board.
