Let's hone in on the hits for my MLB player prop picks today.
These MLB player prop selections feature two players who have had big cold streaks this year, but are heating up now. I like both Alejandro Kirk and Nick Castellanos to stay hot on Thursday.
Here are my two MLB player prop picks today with breakdowns:

MLB Prop Pick Today: Alejandro Kirk OVER 1.5 Total Bases (+130)
Orioles vs Blue Jays Odds - Game Time: 7:08 pm ET
Alejandro Kirk is finally finding it. The Blue Jays catcher has 13 hits in his last eight games, raising his average from .218 to .251 in that stretch.
He's gone over this 1.5 total base line in five of those eight games, so we're getting great value on this plus-money line. If you bet O 1.5 TB in each of Kirk's last eight games at this +130 line, you'd be up 3.5 units.
Kirk also has the edge against Baltimore's Dean Kremer, with the catcher earning five hits in 16 career at-bats against the Orioles SP. That's a .313 career average. Kirk has gone OVER 1.5 total bases in three of his last four games against the Orioles, too.

MLB Prop Pick Today: Nick Castellanos OVER 0.5 Hits (-280)
Phillies vs Diamondbacks Odds - Game Time: 9:41 pm ET
I was looking for the best way to fade Jordan Montgomery today. The DBacks lefty has allowed six or more hits in four of his last eight starts. Despite a one-run (though just three innings) start last time out, Monty posted an ERA over seven in each of the last two months. He's got a 6.37 ERA on the season, too.
To take advantage of that Monty fade, let's back Castellanos. The Phillies outfielder has a pair of hits in each of his last three games and hits in five of his last seven contests.
He's also just much better against lefties like Montgomery, in general. Castellanos has a .241 average and .688 OPS vs RHP, compared to a .257 average and .781 OPS against lefties this year.
